Speaking of shopping though, I HAVE MY ETSY PAGE UP!!! for both Brown Paper Crown and 2nd hand fairy.

I've never done one before so ANY advice would be GREAT! hehe no sales as of yet but plenty of spending is happening.

I LOVE ETSY! I SPEND WAAAAY TOO MUCH YESTERDAY EEEK!

But in case I don't post again between now and Xmas, I WISH YOU ALL AN AWESOME HOLIDAY AND STAY SAFE!!

Behind the scenes fun!!!

I just thought I would share some photos of the fun we had today :D

We're still in the process of editing the real shots and I need to meet up with our awesome photographer Dylan, for the shots he got.

Also a HUUUUUGE thanks to Deanna from Flaunt it who helped us with hair and make-up. I can't wait to show you some of the actual shots we got today!!! for now though, I'll show you the bloopers and fun :)

Lady Luck is no longer my lover.

We have our first proper photoshoot tomorrow!!!

It's pretty damn exciting!

I've got 'Flaunt It' coming to do hair and makeup, I've also got my good friend Dylan coming to help me with the photography and I'm going to bribe lady luck that it doesn't piss down with rain *sigh* like it is doing right now.
Also I can't blame half of my models bailing out on me.... especially since the reason is because they are attending a Daft Punk gig. Awwww I'm all jealous! (Hope you have an AWESOME time guys!!)

I have some ideas for how I want the shots to look but to be honest, a few good shots of each bit of clothing and some fun memories would suit me just fine :)

I'm pulling an all nighter tonight in preparation so I might be too tired to post photos right away but stay tuned ;)

Once upon a time...

I'm going to start writing again.

I used to write a whole bunch of short stories. I'm not as good at writing as I am at painting but I enjoy it just as much :)

Also it might keep my brain from going senile when I'm old.

Might.

:D

Ventilation

When we first started out a few months ago we were ecstatic that someone was interested in stocking some of our work so quickly. It turned out to be more hassle than it was worth.

We submitted our work to a store called Libertine in Mt Lawley, Perth and the owners bought two of our shirts in the first week of October. She bought one of our men's shirts and cut it in to something more flattering for a woman.

We were supposed to get paid in the second week of November. It's now December and it still hasn't happened and they 'claim' that they were 'orders' so the transaction went through later.

The shirt that the owner cut up was right off the shelf so it defiantly wasn't an order and the other one, while it was a special order.. we still gave it to her in October. Transaction OVER. We should still get paid in November. Not still be waiting for it in December.

THEN they claimed that we didn't give them our payment details WHICH WE DID. We came down specifically to do it one day.

And the last straw was when we came down to pick up our stuff and they didn't have it ready for us even though we had emailed them about it in advance and had to sit around waiting when we we're supposed to be visiting family we don't get to see often.

The moral of the story is: never work on consignment and never deal with Libertine.

GRRRR.

Dial triple 5

1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share 5 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

1.
I used to live with hippies who had bucket showers. There were 3 compost heaps going on in the back yard. There were 'TV free weeks' and 'Packaging free' weeks (even food that came in any kind of packaging).

One of my house mates is responsible for getting the 'Compost the wheat belt' project rolling.

Also one of our very few house meetings was about having to agree to believe in fairies.

We all agreed, the meeting was a success and over in under two minutes.

2.
My life goal is to write and draw my own comic book. Not necessarily to be published. Just for my own achievement. I once did an A5 two page comic thing for some sci-fi, cook book but I didn't finish it in time. I'll post my efforts if any one wants to see it though.

3.
A girl once asked me if I wanted her to lick my eyeball. WHUT?!

4.
I've had my own guest appearance in a comic. It was pretty much a direct cut and paste from an msn conversation I had with the artist and he just illustrated it.

5.
As a kid I used to dress up like an Asian assassin (like in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and jump around pretending to be ninja. I grew out of it after my relatives watched me from a window and pissed themselves laughing.

Like a snake in the head lights..

A friend of mine used to paint curb numbers for a living and before he headed off on a trip around Australia he gave me the reflective beads he used to use to make the numbers reflect.

I was thrilled and had all these great ideas of what I could use it for! Since then he's come back from his trip and this is the first time I've had to use the stuff.

I painted the glass beads in to the woman's eyes and over the heads of the snakes so even though you can't see the effect from the photo, I'm sure you get the idea of how it would look if you shone a flash light on it.

Might be a nice scare for any burglars ;)
